'2021' INKWASHES

Created by Gilbert & George in 2021, this suite of 12 Inkwashes features rich, heavy brush strokes depicting blunt and direct exclamations, so often overheard by Gilbert & George in streets, restaurants or whilst travelling. 

These Inkwashes incite the viewer or listener to theorise and explore the messages portrayed to them from the artist...

Each Inkwash is individually created and hand-painted by Gilbert & George, meaning it will have some variation, and each is numbered and signed by Gilbert & George on 400 gsm watercolour paper. 

The image shown is one example from that edition of 50. The edition you will receive is the Edition Number that you select when making your purchase.
