'G AND G' Inkwashes
50 years after creating the picture ‘G&G’ from the ‘DRINKING PIECES – MODERN RUBBISH’ pictures in 1973, Gilbert & George present a new suite of Inkwashes ‘G AND G’.
Each Inkwash in this series has been wonderfully hand-painted by Gilbert & George, with each featuring distinctive, lively and unique brushwork, and colourful lettering on 400 gsm watercolour paper. Numbered and signed by Gilbert & George, the two formats (horizontal and vertical) come in an edition of 50.
'ART FOR ALL' Inkwashes
"It’s simple, from the very first day we wanted to make Art For All" - Gilbert & George.
Created during the opening year of the Centre, each 'ART FOR ALL' Inkwash is individually hand-painted by Gilbert & George meaning each one has its own unique, vibrant characteristics such as heavy brush strokes, ink splatters and gold drips.
This vision remains as vital as ever to Gilbert & George and the creation of their art, of which they are the embodiment.
'2021' Inkwashes
Gilbert & George created a suite of 12 Inkwashes with each design featuring in an edition size of 50 originals.
Rich, heavy brush strokes depict blunt and direct exclamations, so often overheard in streets, restaurants or whilst travelling, inciting the viewer or listener to theorise and explore the messages portrayed to them from the artists.
Each Inkwash is individually hand-painted, numbered and signed by the artist.
The White Prints
To celebrate the opening of The Gilbert & George Centre, Gilbert & George created a suite of 21 fine art Limited Editions - THE WHITE PRINTS.
Each title within the series is an edition of 50, with subjects ranging from KISSMET to CRUCIFICTION.
The vision that underpins the art of Gilbert & George is ‘Art for All’, and the Centre is an extension of this vision. In keeping with this, entry to the gallery is free of charge.
Each sale directly benefits The Gilbert & George Centre, which will provide a permanent home for the art of Gilbert & George and a place for visitors to convene from across the globe to experience the art of Gilbert & George.
Royal Inkwashes
To commemorate and celebrate the accession of Charles III to the throne, Gilbert & George created suite of eight Royal Inkwashes.

Each of the eight designs is in an edition size of 50. Every Royal Inkwash is individually created with unique characteristics, numbered and hand signed by Gilbert & George.
Only available from The Gilbert & George Centre with all proceeds directly benefiting the Centre remaining open to all - Art For All.
